YouTube starts testing Huge Thumbnails, users like it or not?

Youtube's HUGE Thumbnails Update!

YouTube is testing with creating video thumbnails quite larger on its homepage, as stated by several screenshots that being published on Social Networks.

New design, seen in the image, is quite different than the current setup. Videos are not arranged by categories anymore, lesser videos appear in a line for people to scroll through and the thumbnails are HUGE. It’s uncertain that how many people have been presented with new setup. But I am sure that i was not among those you got that new layout, so it’s surely limited for now. I think Youtube is currently testing a new homepage design to improve the user experience.

However it’s not going well with some users, are complaining that the HUGE thumbnails make the homepage more difficult to scroll. While other user's called it cluttered and disorderly.

Some popular Youtube creator's have considered it, as a mobile design. YouTube’s mobile app uses HUGE thumbnails to that images are more visible, which is very similar to this new redesign.

Probability is that YouTube’s new design is an attempt to be more approachable or maybe YouTube is testing it to determine reactions before rolling it out to everyone.
